12 Days of Seasonably Chic – Day 4

Paolo
My engagement ring

Women love getting compliments. And I have to tell you, I get compliments all the time on my engagement ring! It’s a custom design from Paolo, a Modern Jeweler up in Clifton. So, if you’d like to create something completely unique to you and get complimented on your exquisite taste, come meet Paolo at this Saturday’s Seasonably Chic Showcase!

One of the really cool things that Paolo likes to do is a “Jewelry Makeover.” So, you can take in a piece that’s sentimental to you (i.e., grandma’s brooch) and make it into a posh new asymmetrical necklace. A few of my friends have done this with some of their old jewelry and it’s a really affordable and fashionable way to revamp your jewelry collection.

Come visit Paolo’s table at the Seasonably Chic Showcase holiday shopping event, which will take place on Nov. 7 from 10am-3pm at the Phoenix Downtown. Watch the video below to learn more about Paolo, see some of their creations, and find out more about the Seasonably Chic Showcase!

12 Days of Seasonably Chic – Day 5

The whole point behind these “sneak peek” blogs is to give you a taste of what will be available at this Saturday’s Seasonably Chic Showcase. Today’s blog is about Le Sucre Bakery and boy do I wish I could literally give you a taste of what this business has to offer!

Le Sucre specializes in amazing one-of-a-kind wedding and special event cakes. I’ve been to a Le Sucre cake testing before and you have never experienced anything like these cakes before. They’re developed with a European baking style and literally topped off with an artistry that belongs in a museum. Think “Ace of Cakes” for the Tri-State!

Le Sucre’s philosophy is that no two cakes should ever be the same. Break the traditional mold and have a cake that going to fit your ideas, event theme, color selections and personality but also wow your guests with the site of a unique looking and incredible tasting cake.

Le Sucre will be doing cake testings at the Seasonably Chic Showcase holiday shopping event, which will take place on Nov. 7 from 10am-3pm at the Phoenix Downtown. Watch the video below to learn more about Le Sucre Bakery, see some of their creations, and find out more about the Seasonably Chic Showcase!

12 Days of Seasonably Chic – Day 6

The Seasonably Chic Showcase is this Saturday! I can’t wait! And one of the things I really can’t wait for is the fashion show we’re going to have at The Phoenix. I don’t know if you’ve ever been at this venue yet, but it’s known for it’s “Beauty and the Beast”-like marble staircase. So, we couldn’t have a fashion show at the Phoenix without utilizing its snazzy staircase! We incorporated these steps into the show and it’s going to be FAB-U-LOUS!

Today we went on Fox19 to do a little sneak peek of the fashion show and I really can’t wait to see it all in action at the Phoenix this Saturday. The clothes will be done by Paris J Boutique, and jewelry by Serket Jewelry. Lots of gray, lots of sparkle, lots of panache.

Here’s the run-down of the day:
10am – open the doors to the public
11:30 – first fashion show
12pm – first brunch ‘n’ learn (gift wrapping tips with Poeme)
1pm – second brunch ‘n’ learn (holiday decor tips and trends with Sacksteders Interiors)
2:30 – second fashion show

The complimentary brunch ‘n’ learn food will be provided by Taste of Belgium, which is DELICIOUS! Click here to learn more about the Seasonably Chic Showcase holiday shopping event, which will take place on Nov. 7 from 10am-3pm at the Phoenix Downtown. 12 Days of Seasonably Chic – Day 7

We’re less than one week away from the Nov. 7 Seasonably Chic Showcase! Today’s sneak peek features one of my favorite people in this world, Karen Sacksteder.

Karen and I go way back. I went to school with her sons, so I know her personally, and now in the “real world” I now also have the pleasure of knowing her professionally. This woman has been through it all. Not only has she been in business for herself for more than 20 years, but she’s battled breast cancer, helped family members through breast cancer, and recently lost her husband. But she’s one of the most upbeat, positive people you’ll ever meet. In fact, in 2007, Cincy Chic awarded Karen the “Woman of the Year” distinction because of her ability to rise above challenges.

Not only has she been through a lot, but she’s amazing at what she does for a living: Interior Design. And one of her specialties is holiday decor! So, for the Seasonably Chic Showcase, we’re going to bring Karen in to do a FREE brunch ‘n’ learn at 1pm on Nov. 7 to talk about the latest and greatest tips and trends for holiday decorating.

The food will be provided by Taste of Belgium, so you won’t want to miss it! What a great way to kick off the holiday season! And check out the video below to get a sneak peek into some of the holiday decor she has at her NEW Kenwood showroom, and a little tip she has for sprucing up your mantle on a tight budget.

12 Days of Seasonably Chic – Day 8

Paris J BoutiqueWe’re one week away from the Nov. 7 Seasonably Chic Showcase!!! Today’s sneak peek features Paris J Boutique, a brand new boutique in Old Montgomery. This boutique is located at 9797 Montgomery Rd. next to Carlo & Johnny, so you have to know where it is to find it. But it’s definitely worth finding!

Teresa the owner has impeccable taste and she loves the one-of-a-kind items that no one else in the city will have! I also like the variety of items she has in the store. I found everything from an eye-catching metallic embellished neck cocktail dress, to a cozy sweater and jeans. She also has beautiful bags, jewelry and the oh-so-hot-right-now-over-the-knee boots.

Paris J’s fashions will be featured in two fashion shows at the Seasonably Chic Showcase – one at 11:30am and one at 2:30pm. Go ahead and clear your calendar for the day because we’ll also have 30+ vendors to shop at and two “Brunch ‘n’ Learns” (Poeme’s Unique Gift Giving and Wrapping Tips at noon, and Sacksteder’s Interiors Holiday Decor Tips and Trends at 1pm). Hope to see you there!

12 Days of Seasonably Chic – Day 9

Today’s sneak peek of the Nov. 7 Seasonably Chic Showcase is featuring A Woman’s Touch Plastic Surgery. I really like this surgeon’s approach, not only because she’s a woman who caters to women’s needs, but she also likes to specialize in what she calls “no ouch procedures.”

Dr. Sillins with A Woman’s Touch Plastic Surgery recently did a lunch ‘n’ learn for Cincy Chic – click here to listen to the podcast of the luncheon – and it was really interesting to learn how you can make a dramatic difference with your skin by preventative and protective lotions and potions!
🙂
One of those lotions/magical potions that the doctor will be featuring at the Seasonably Chic Showcase is the Aromasoul Body Collection. The four lines come from four parts of the world, mediteranean, indian, arabian, oriental. And here’s a little information about this collection:

  • herbal tea blends – blended with herbs and spices to evoke the exotic cultures from which they came
  • ambience sprays – scents that bring the frangrant ambiance of foreign lands into your home
  • shower gels – protecting and revitalizing actions that cleanse and infuse the skin with complex aromas
  • body cream – soft aromatherapeutic creams with rich natural ingredients that leave the skin feeling silky and luxurious

12 Days of Seasonably Chic – Day 10 (and VOTE!)

There are so many spas and salons in town and it’s tough to choose which one is right for you. I find myself a bit partial to one in town, Tuscany Spa-Salon in Harper’s Point.

In the beginning of the year, the Cincy Chic staff did a makeover day there and it was then that Tuscany showed their true colors. Everyone there bent over backwards to make the day special, customized and enhancing for every single person that came. They took the time to learn about skin and hair types, lifestyle and likes/dislikes to find a look that matched each personality. So, I’ll always have a special place in my heart for Tuscany because of that experience.

I was so excited to learn that they wanted to be a part of our Seasonably Chic Showcase holiday market on Nov. 7 at the Phoenix downtown! They are going to have my FAVORITE makeup there, Jane Iredale mineral makeup, which is awesome for sensitive skin! They will also highlight their threading services, which is a great alternative to waxing your eyebrows. We recently did a makeover story with a woman who got threading done and she loved it. Click here to read her story and see pictures!

So, make sure you attend the Seasonably Chic Showcase to meet my friends at Tuscany Spa Salon and learn about their fab products and services!

And one lucky winner will be receiving $300 in free services from Tuscany Spa Salon with our $2500 Seasonably Chic Showcase Giveaway we’re doing!
