As I mentioned last week, Curate Boutique announced that it’s closing its brick and mortar store (going to operate online only from here on out). They posted that their last day is June 30, so these are your last days to grab your goods at SUPER discounted prices (not only are they very discounted but she’s also doing a buy two get one free sale). Courtney PeGan, the owner of Hyde Park-based Curate Boutique, send out a heartfelt email today announcing that she plans to close the store, citing “It has been incredibly difficult to maintain a brick-and-mortar retail location: keep up with rising costs, falling foot traffic, and an overall shift in how people shop.”
She’s hosting a friends and family night Wednesday this week for first dibs on inventory at deep discounts, and then is offering the public 50% off all merchandise beginning Thursday this week.
I’ve known Courtney PeGan for years. She originally modeled for Cincy Chic when I first started the publication in 2007. She was working at P&G then and she came to several Cincy Chic events. Then, just recently, she reached out to me to say she left P&G to follow her dream of opening a boutique. It wasn’t until I read this story we wrote about her Grand Opening that I learned the whole story of what prompted her to open the store. Essentially, about a year ago, she lost her father who was a life-long entrepreneur and philanthropist. She opened her boutique in his honor and also partnered with her brother to start a Memorial Fund in her father’s memory.
I’m so honored that she asked me and Cincy Chic to partner with her to host an event in-store to not only give shoppers the first glimpse at her new hand-picked fall collections, but also raise awareness and funds for her father’s Memorial Fund. Check out all the details below and click here to RSVP!
Attendees will enjoy the VIP treatment as they get the first look at Curate’s handpicked fall style collections, complimentary tote bag filled with swag, champagne + hors d’ oeuvres, and an exclusive shopping experience as some of Cincinnati’s best provide personal styling consultations! Tickets are $10 each, and 100% of proceeds benefit the John F. PeGan Memorial fund. Click here to learn more & RSVP! Please register by 5pm August 28.
Proceeds will benefit the John F. PeGan Memorial fund which provides scholarships for Local High School graduates, support to Warm the Children, James B Wismann Yes Home, and the Dearborn County Clearing House for Emergency Aid, Inc.
