New Ann Taylor Concept Store!

Kenwood is going crazy with all of these new stores! A brand new Ann Taylor concept store will be opening at Kenwood on July 27, making it the first concept store in Cincinnati! This is so exciting!

The grand opening will be fabulous with an in-store shopping event for clients and the public on August 4 from 1-5pm. There will be a live DJ, refreshments, sweets, raffles, and a gift with any purchase over $100.

I can’t wait for this and I’ll definitely see you there!

Cincinnati has another Hot Mama!

Hot Mama is opening it’s third Cincinnati store! We mentioned that a Kenwood location would be coming to a store near you back in January and now you hot mamas can shop ’til you drop at this fabulous boutique.

To mark the grand opening of its new store, Hot Mama is offering a sale on all merchandise at the Kenwood location June 13-17.

There are other Cincinnati locations at Deerfield Towne Center and at Rookwood Commons.

Hot Mama’s founder Megan Tamte opened her first store 7 years ago and now have 30 stores in eleven states. She’s always getting requests to open new stores across the country every year.

Check out their website, like them on Facebook, or follow them on Twitter!

Lululemon Kenwood Grand Opening Sneak Peek

New Lululemon store at Kenwood Towne Centre (click to enlarge)

Lots going on at Kenwood Towne Centre this weekend! We have our Indie Collectionevent going on (basically several local designers selling their wares in a pop-up shop in front of Starbucks in the common area) and the Lululemon store just opened!

The Lululemon ladies and I have been working together a ton lately (they’re doing the “Function in Fashion” show at our free Women’s Health Expo next Saturday) so they’ve been telling me about it for months now and I was so pumped to see the final product.

I checked it out, snapped a bunch of pics for the blog (yes, that’s a real person doing yoga in the window!) and took the below video of it so you can virtually check it out here! But… I must say, definitely check it out in person!

The clothes are amazing, the people are super friendly, and their free fitness classes are always so fun (and did I mention free?)!

Third-Annual Indie Event at Kenwood Towne Centre

I just found out that the third annual Indie event is coming up at Kenwood Towne Centre. It’s such an awesome event because it gives local designers and artisans the opportunity to set up shop in the Tri-State’s premier shopping destination. It really gives them a ton of exposure, increases name recognition and boosts their clientele reach. Just off the top of my head, I know Amy Kirchen did it a couple years ago when she had just started out, and now she has her own boutique and couture fashion line…and the Indie event has many other success stories like Amy’s. So, mark your calendars for this event, because it’s your opportunity to meet and shop with these style stars in the making!

Hot Mama Opening Two More Stores in Cincinnati!

Cincinnati just got a whole lot hotter! Obviously not talking about our weather here (ugh, thank goodness for hot coffee and seat warmers this morning!!). But I AM talking about Hot Mama just inking deals to open two more stores this year! With newly signed leases at the Kenwood Towne Center and Deerfield Towne Center in Mason, Hot Mama is looking to expand its clothing empire! My contacts at Hot Mama tell me that after much success at their Rookwood location, and a demand for more locations in the area, owners Megan and Michael Tamte are excited to open two new Tri-State locations. So be sure to look out for the two new stores this Spring. Just in time for warmer weather all you Hot Mamas out there! 🙂

Win a Wedding and Meet “My Fair Wedding” Host

David TuteraGetting married, helping someone plan a wedding, or do you just like to win free stuff? If you said yes to any of the above, keep reading.

As John Kiesewetter wrote about in his blog yesterday, David Tutera (hunky host on “My Fair Wedding” is coming to Kenwood Mall this Saturday. He’s coming as part of a big tour of WE tv stars across the country (we got the cutest celeb, I have to say). For this one-day only event on June 26 (12-6pm), they’ll have a bunch of national sponsors, and a bunch of local hand-selected vendors, doing demonstrations, offering discounts and giving away great prizes (like a KitchenAid mixer, $100 gift cert to NinaShoes.com, and a $1,000 shopping spree you can use at Kenwood Mall).

They will also have a fashion show featuring White House Black Market’s new wedding party dress line. I didn’t know WHBM launched this new collection, so I’m excited to see it up close and personal. Check out their limited edition bridal gown! I love love love it!

I did a video interview with a rep from Kenwood Mall to chat about this exciting celeb appearance and bridal event, so check it out!

And while I was planning this blog post, two more wedding-related items landed in my inbox. First one is a Bride’s Night Out with Snooty Fox, which looks super cute and fun. The second is news that the Cincinnati Art Museum is doing a fab wedding giveaway. Check out all the details in the press release below!

·       The winner will be announced on January 6, 2011 on WLWT-TV’s morning show
Wedded Perfection: Two Centuries of Wedding Gowns will run October 9, 2010 through January 30, 2011 and will feature nearly 60 stunning wedding gowns from the 18th century to the present day.  It will feature classic designs as well as the work of Christian Dior couture, Vera Wang, Worth and an avant-garde Yohji Yamamoto gown.

The exhibition will show the origin of bridal traditions in Western culture, how all the pieces of the wedding, from long trains to jewel-encrusted décolletés, came together, periods when the ‘traditional’ white wedding dress was not worn, colorful wedding dresses, an embroidered felt dress, and influential designers and contemporary artist’s conceptions of wedding attire.

Arranged around these gowns, paintings, photography, and installation pieces will provide visions of the weddings and social settings out of which these designs emerged.

Indie Collection Cincinnati

When you think of Kenwood Towne Centre, big box stores probably come to mind. Nordstrom, Macy’s, Forever 21… etc etc.

Well, next weekend, KTC is letting the independent designers take over! I’m so excited!

Ok, here’s how it happened. About a month ago, I got an email from someone at KTC and she said she wanted to do a shopping extravaganza, but use only local designers. I was in love with the idea, so I scavenged through my little black book for local designers and emailed them all. Many of them were able to participate, so “Indie Collection Cincinnati” was born.

See below for more info about the event, but the gist is that local jewelry, handbag, accessory and clothing designers will be at Kenwood for one weekend only. These are my favorite designers ever (Degroot Handbags and FENNO Fashion are two of them that will be there.) This has never been done before. It’s your chance to get that Mother’s Day, Graduation, or I’m-so-special-I-deserve-a-gift Gift!
