Perfect Way to Spring Clean, Refresh Your Wardrobe!

This time of year always gets me weeding out the old, and bringing in some new to refresh my wardrobe for the warmer weather. I’m putting together an event with Knickers, Knickers XY, and 45/46 in Hyde Park Square to do a fun event where you can drop off gently used items, and get discounts on items at all three stores, plus enjoy refreshments, photobooth, fashion show, product testing, swag bags and more! Oh, and it’s a free event and all the items you donate go to St. Vincent de Paul! All the details are below – click here to RSVP! Hope to see you there!

Sneak Peek of New Men’s Boutique

A new men’s apparel boutique is set to open early- to mid-April in Hyde Park Square. It will be located next to Knickers XY and will be called “45/46 XY Inspired.”

The new boutique is owned by the same group that owns Knickers (women’s lingerie shop), and Knickers XY (men’s underwear/sleepwear/shave shop), both also in Hyde Park Square.

45/46 will carry denim, ready-to-wear casual men’s apparel, sportswear, denim, shoes and accessories such as stylish messenger bags.

I got a sneak peek into the store late last week and it’s amazing. I think men will really like it. They’re designing it to feel like an urban loft in a big concrete jungle. They’re even putting faux skylights in the changing room to make it look like you’re looking up at skyscrapers. The shelving is all rich mahogany (I can’t say that in my head without sounding like Ron Burgundy), walls are copper tones, wall paper is in masculine geometric shapes, couches are leather, and lots of stainless steel throughout the space.

Check out a pic I snapped on my behind-the-scenes tour of the new place! Can’t wait for it to open!

Art, Cocktails, and Fashion

Art, Cocktails, and Fashion… three of my favorite things in life. Add chocolate to the list and I’m in heaven!

Well, there’s an event that’s bringing “Art, Cocktails, and Fashion” together. And they’re hosting this event at Palomino downtown, which just happens to be known for their chocolate cake! An event after my own heart! : )

So, if you want to get your own little slice of heaven, stop by this event. The fashion show will be featuring some skimpies from Knickers and Knickers XY (KXY). I wrote this story about KXY for Cincinnati Profile after it first opened. Click here to see pics of the KXY grand opening party!

I could go on for days about KXY. I love it… it’s one of the only places I can get good shaving stuff for my hubby. I hear they’re going to be opening a clothing store right next door. More details on that to come soon… I’m trying to get a sneak peek in there.

But I digress… back to the fab event tomorrow, it’s for a great cause, Visionaries and Voices! We recently wrote about Pam Kravetz (who happens to be my high school art teacher) who’s very involved with V+V and loves the organization dearly. Hope to see you there!
