Pet Fashion Show Feature of the Day: Naked Dingo

Cincy Chic’s Pet Fashion show is right around the corner, the event will be taking place on September 23 from 6-9pm at Performance Lexus. All the funds raised that night will benefit Recycled Doggies. Every day leading up the event, I have been featuring a local business participating in this feline fashion night out and today we are featuring: Naked Dingo.

This local Cincinnati business is your go-to for pet food and a must read pet blog! In fact, Naked Dingo is now the pet blog here in the www2.cincinnati.com living section, where local pet owners can receive news and education! Naked Dingo has recently launched a brand new website: www.nakeddingo.com, too. Their new site features 60 brands of food dedicated to the health and well being of your dog or cat. Zach Day, owner of Naked Dingo, says, “Education, convenience, and community are the core of Naked Dingo.”

As a pet owner in the Cincinnati area, make sure you check out Naked Dingo’s website, blog and on facebook and twitter to learn more about you’re favorite feline friend and in order to find them the best dog food around!

Naked Dingo donated a basket full of treats and toys valued at $50 for the Pet Fashion show’s silent auction, which benefits Recycled Doggies! By visiting their table, guests will get a chance to see their new website and get answers about dog food from the Naked Dingo staff. Also, make sure to look in your swag bag to get a discount!

Pet Fashion Show Feature of the Day: FENNOfashion

Today’s Pet Fashion Show Feature is FENNOfashion. Cincy Chic’s Pet Fashion show will take place on September 23 from 6-9pm at Performance Lexus. The event is free to attend and all the proceeds go to Recycled Doggies.

The event will feature a lot of great stuff for your favorite canine sidekick! But one of our fab vendors who will be there is FENNOfashion, and she specializes in poshing up pet owners (or any human for that matter! haha!).

FENNOfashion is a vintage inspired jewelry and handbag accessory company founded by the pocket-sized fashionista, Megan Fenno. She launched her company several years ago after graduating from Savannah College of Art with a BFA in fashion & accessory design. She eventually made it back to her hometown of Cincinnati where she brought with her FENNOfashion. Now, all of her pieces are designed and created right here in Cincinnati.

Besides, designing and selling accessories, Megan is now providing fashion tips for all of us here in the tri-state area! Megan has recently joined forces with three top radio stations: Q102, B105 and 94.1, as their Senior Fashion Editor. She also provides daily advice at www.Cincysavers.com.

FENNOfashion can be found at local boutiques (such as LouLou’s), online at www.FENNOfashion.com, and at events, like Cincy Chic’s upcoming Pet Fashion Show!

Attendees of the event will get to see FENNOfashion’s new fall collection, as well as FENNOfashion’s signature pieces. The night of the Pet Fashion show guests will be able to enjoy a 20% discount and an opportunity to chat with Megan, the owner of FENNOfashion, who will be taking custom orders, and offering up great fashion advice too!

Megan Fenno says, “I am really excited to be a part of this fabulous event once again. It was so much fun to see all the dogs dressed up and all the owners showing off their pups last year. It’s one of those events where you just leave feeling warm and fuzzy inside. Seriously, if you missed it last year, you HAVE to come this year!”

So, make sure you check out www.FENNOfashion.com to start picking out your favorite pieces. And make sure you like FENNOfashion on Facebook for exclusive sales, contests and sneak peeks of the newest products. Also, remember to get your tickets for the Cincy Chic Pet Fashion Show! The event is free and space is limited!

Pet Fashion Show Feature of the Day: Recycled Doggies

Cincy Chic’s Pet Fashion Show, taking place on September 23 from 6-9pm is right around the corner! All the proceeds for the event will be benefiting Recycled Doggies, who is our feature of the day today on the blog!! (each day leading up to the Pet Fashion show, I will be featuring a different business taking place in this event)

Recycled Doggies is an all-foster rescue that “recycles” unwanted shelter dogs into desirable pets. I picked Recycled Doggies as the recipient of this year’s fashion show proceeds not only because it’s a great organization, but also because their facility recently endured a damaging and deadly fire. The organization needs fundraising now more than ever.

You can read more about the fire, the organization and the founder Shannon DeBra, in this article we wrote in June: Strength Fanned by Flames. After a house fire took her home and the animals she was fostering, Cincy Chic is extremely excited to help her and Recycled Doggies at the upcoming Pet Fashion Show. If you haven’t heard of Recycled Doggies before, here’s what you need to know:

Recycled Doggies is an all-volunteer, non-profit501 (c)(3) tax-exempt organization. All of their dogs come from local shelters where they had little to no chance of being adopted and once they’re with us they live in our foster homes until adopted. This allows Recycled Doggie volunteers get to know their dogs and help make the perfect adoption matches.

Owner of Recycled Doggies, Shannon DeBra, says, “We are honored to have been selected as a beneficiary of Cincy Chic’s Pet Fashion Show, not only due to the fundraiser aspect of the event, but it also raises awareness of our organization and the work done by local animal rescue organizations, especially ours!”

If interested in adopting a dog from Recycled Doggies please visit their website, www.recycleddoggies.org, where you can find an adoption application and dates of their dog adoptions. You can also make a donation to the Recycled Doggies organization at the bottom of this page!

Pet Fashion Show Feature of the Day: PetLuxe Cincinnati

What’s a night out on the town with your canine without someone there to capture candid pics? Thanks to PetLuxe Cincinnati, our Cincy Chic Pet Fashion Show feature of the day will be providing the “pupparazzi” the night of the event!

PetLuxe Cincinnati is a bi-weekly publication for the local pet owner (I was just actually featured in it here!) to help provide them with everyday tips and resources to give their pet the good life it deserves. The publication features everything from ask a vet, health and wellness, product reviews among much more, along with information about pet adoption by featuring and supporting area shelters and rescue projects.

Owner of PetLuxe, Allison Brinkman, says, “One of our key goals at PetLuxe is to help all pets find the loving home they deserve. So, we think that it’s just as important to keep dogs in their homes and out of shelters as it is to support shelters themselves”. This being said, PetLuxe is committed to helping local Cincinnati families keep food in their pet’s bowls and by supporting events like Cincy Chic’s Pet Fashion show where a hundred percent of the proceeds benefit Recycled Doggies.

Allison says, “We are so excited to be a part of this year’s pet fashion show. Cincy Chic always puts on some fabulous events and this one is no exception. Not only will the event be a great time, but goes to a great cause as well. We can’t wait to share the photos we take on our facebook page and website gallery as well”.

For a full list of upcoming PetLuxe events, please visit: www.petluxewww2.cincinnati.com/events. Some to look for include: PetLuxe partnering with Wilbur’s Pantry in Northern Kentucky to do a food drive before the holidays and a first ever ‘Best of’ issue where readers and PetLuxe staffers will vote for their favorite local pet places and services.

To get your tickets for the upcoming Cincy Chic Pet Fashion show, taking place on September 23 from 6-9pm at Performance Lexus, please visit www.cincychic.com/events. And remember to look your best because the “puparazzi” will be there!

Pet Fashion Show Feature of the Day: Pet Wants

From now until our Sept. 23 Pet Fashion Show, I’ll be doing a sneak peek of one vendor who will be at the event. The feature of the day today is Pet Wants, the only pet food nutrition store that offers local, Ohio made pet food in the Tri-State area. Pet Wants will be one of our vendors at the upcoming Cincy Chic Pet Fashion Show taking place on September 23 from 6 to 9pm at Performance Lexus, the event is free and all the donations will benefit Recycled Doggies, to get your tickets for the event or to make a donation please visit www.CincyChic.com/events.

Pet Wants is a locally women-owned business that began out of the need for quality pet food nutrition for Pet Want owners Amanda Broughton and Michele Hobbs’ dog with severe food and environmental allergies. Pet Wants prides themselves in the freshness of their dog food and that their products are gluten free and healthy for your pet.

Michele Hobbs’ says, “Pet food being gluten free is more important to animals than the industry gives credit. We do not use corn, wheat, soy or animal bi-products in any of our formulas.”

Another great part about Pet Wants being a local Cincinnati business is that it will save pet owners time and money. With their free delivery service, Pet Wants’ wants customers to be confident they are getting the very best dog and cat food without having to make that extra trip to the pet supply retailer. To set up a delivery to your work or home of Pet Wants’ products, pet owners can visit Pet Wants’ year round location at the Findlay Martket (Tuesday-Saturday 9-6 pm and Sunday’s 9-4 pm), by visiting their website at www.PetWants.com or calling them at 513-721-8696.

The night of the Pet Fashion Show, the Pet Wants’ table will have free samples of their most popular pet food formulas, along with plenty of their housemade beef jerky, which has been mentioned in ‘Donna Corvett’s Local Food Lover’s Guide’ as a staple to have in your pantry and maybe even to share with your dog! They will also have handmade hemp leashes and collars made locally in Loveland. Lastly, like I said if your dog has been good all night they can enjoy Pet Wants’ latest dog craving: housemade Pawsicles, “Frozen meal treats with purpose”!

By visiting their website, you can also find great products perfect for pet owners living in the city. One of Michele’s favorites is the urban backpack. She says, “It’s perfect to store your cell phone, keys, wallet etc. while taking a jog downtown”. They also have: Urban Walker leashes, cooling bandanas, hemp leashes and doggie sunglasses for those hot walks in the city. There will also be samples of these items the night of the Pet Fashion Show.

Make sure to stop by the Pet Wants’ table with your pet the night of the Cincy Chic Pet Fashion show for some treats to see accessories perfect for the “urban active” dog! Also, make sure to get your tickets for the best night out in Cincinnati with your pet, Cincy Chic’s Pet Fashion Show, at www.cincychic.com/events.
