Me: “I touched my first Choo. I think I love Choo.”
My Sister-in-Law, Melissa: “I love Choo, too.”
Well, I’m no longer a Jimmy Choo virgin. I have heard of these magnificent creatures, studied them online, but never been close enough to touch one. Let alone try one on.
But after last night’s gala at Nordstrom, I had the pleasure of meeting Jimmy Choo and all his soleful friends like Valentino, Nanette Lepore and Tory Burch.
They only had one pair left of the Choos you see to the right and let me tell you, they were a sight to be seen. They were as light as a feather and super comfy (according to Melissa, who had the Cinderella luxury of being able to perfectly fit in them). But I would have had to sell my car and walk home in them had I purchased them… they had a – get this – $1100 price tag!! I think that’s the most expensive pair of shoes I’ve ever touched in my life! But hey, a girl can dream.
Studs were everywhere. On clutches, ballet flats, even a beret! “What I Wore Today” called that trend long ago though. Good eye, Kasmira!
Speaking of fun fashion, I have a couple things I want to mention. This Friday (tomorrow, Sept. 25), Cincy Chic is hosting a Wearable Art fashion show at Sandra Small Gallery in Covington. I definitely encourage you to check it out if you want to see the latest fall fashions, with an artsy twist and cutting edge flair. (Check out the video below for a sneak peak of the fashion show)
Now, I am off to meet with Rihanna’s Stylist Mariel Haenn to talk about some hair and makeup trends that we can take from Tinseltown to the Tri-State. Stay tuned…
