Go Mad Tonight

Just found out about this “Mad Men” themed event. My friend Sara Celi asked me to go… Sounds like fun! I’m going to do some retro fingercurls, false lashes and a 60s chic dress. I just love that classic ladylike look!

I did a sneak peek blog for Julie over at Wine Me Dine Me a few weeks ago. And I did get the chance to check out Bartini’s on its opening night. It was packed! I’m glad we were in the VIP section (my husband is friends with the special events/marketing manager there so she got us in) because it looked like a long wait for a drink at the other bars. That was really the only bad thing I could see. I’m sure after the newness dies off, it won’t be that ridiculously crowded though.

The service was awesome, the pinot grigio was some of the BEST I’ve ever had in my life, and their spinach and artichoke dip was to die for. I’ve been craving it ever since I had it. It was a different texture than I’m used to… I think they used bread crumbs or something…or crack because I’m certified addicted to the stuff… whatever it was, it was delish.

Should be a fun event, for a good cause. Hope to see you there! I will be the one in the corner with the fingercurls gorging on spinach and artichoke dip.
