I recently found out about a new local clothing line called “Originalitees.” The owner and designer is Khisha Asubuhi, who I found to be incredibly interesting. We met for lunch on a gorgeous day at Nada and talked about her years of being a basketball star, how she’s always been driven – but also creative – and how that lead to her launching Originalitees.

She runs the business on the side, but she designs and ships everything herself (she works full time at USPS, so that’s convenient for her!).

Khisha brought some examples of her shirts with her, and they’re high quality, super soft, fitted shirts with fun designs – most having to do with being “Ohio Proud.” She said her designs currently focus on the region to gain lots of local support. Eventually, she’ll branch out into other designs as she grows support outside of the Tri-State.
