Like Vintage Fashion? You’ll Love Hillforest’s New Exhibit!

brides02Vintage fashion lovers, listen up! The Hillforest Victorian House Museum, a beloved home turned National Historic Landmark, holds the most beautifully crafted and delicate wedding gowns aging back to the 1850-1950′s. “A Century of Brides” exhibit runs all year and features twenty antique and vintage dresses from various private owners and from the museum’s own collection.

The Italianate-style mansion is decorated with gorgeous flowers, cake, photographs, and wedding memorabilia throughout, to inspire the wedding theme. These gowns are truly unique and it is a special opportunity to go back in time and see how styles have changed!

The small town of Aurora, Indiana is home to so many historic artifacts and is also a great setting for teas and luncheons. Aurora is surrounded by beautiful grounds, sitting right along the river, and is conveniently just a few blocks from downtown where you will finds shops and restaurants, and so much more!

My team at Cincy Chic are big fans of Hillforest, because we’ve covered lots of events and exhibits there! Click here to check out all the stories we’ve written about this history hot-spot!
