Wiesnkoenig USA Launches U.S. Flagship Store in Christian Moerlein Tap Room

Annette Pfund de-Cavel Behind German Lifestyle Apparel Store

Wiesnkoenig USA, a fashionable lifestyle brand from Bavaria, Germany, opens its U.S. flagship store on Thursday, August 21 at the Christian Moerlein Brewing Tap Room, 1621 Moore Street.

Wiesnkoenig USA is being launched by Annette Pfund de-Cavel, wife of noted chef Jean-Robert de Cavel, and Annette’s brother, Oliver.  The line draws upon traditional elements of Bavarian apparel, such as Dirndls and Lederhosen, in everyday fashion. Wiesnkoenig also is the only officially licensed supplier of Lederhosen for the Munich Oktoberfest, the largest celebration in the world.

“We are happy to bring this exceptional clothing line to the United States,” said Annette Pfund de-Cavel. “And having our store at the Christian Moerlein Tap Room just authenticates its connection with Cincinnati’s German heritage.”

Oliver Pfund has been working with the European American Chamber of Commerce (EACC) to bring the Wiesnkoenig line to the United State. The EACC also helped research retail locations in Cincinnati before settling on the Christian Moerlein Tap Room.

Included in the line are Dirndls, Lederhosen, t-shirts, shirts, accessories, belts and trousers.
