I’m so excited! One of my favorite events of the year is almost here! I created the Night in White event with a friend of mine, Stephen Smith, several years ago after his first grandson passed away after only 8 days and 1 hour. The care his family received during this time from their nurses was out of this world, so they wanted to give back to them each year in the little boy’s honor so they created the 8 Days 1 Hour Foundation. It’s a scholarship through Good Sam that helps fund schooling for a nursing student in need. It’s through this event that the foundation can select a new recipient each year! Our presenting sponsor, Krombholz Jeweler always creates a special necklace with a custom medallion featuring the grandson’s footprints… it’s pretty special. I’m really looking forward to meeting this year’s scholarship recipient, and honoring her at the event! Plus, we always have the best silent auction and pop-up shops at this event! It’s going to take place at the Backstage Event Center, which is a fab new venue above Nicolson’s downtown, right across from the Aronoff!
