Chic Review: Worthy Yoga

Located in the heart of Mariemont, WORTHY Yoga is a faith based practice. It’s a light bright, open, simple and welcoming space.

The owner – Brenda Westfall, who also teaches some of the classes, says it’s part of an International Training Program called Holy Yoga, where she completed both her 200 hr and 300 hr Master’s level training. Many of their other instructors have been trained through Holy Yoga, too.

It’s a brand that fuses physical postures and breath work, to strengthen and make the body more flexible, with a type of yoga that emphasizes the opening of the heart to divine love, to strengthen your faith and devotion to Christ.

What they do a bit differently at WORTHY, versus your traditional yoga studio, is open with prayer and set an intention or theme for the practice based on a passage from scripture. They welcome, and respect, all faiths and denominations.

Then, from there, it’s 100% yoga. They offer a variety of classes all throughout the week and weekend from gentle, slow flow and a more meditation-focused class, to a Yin Yoga, Vinyasa Flow or even a Barre class.

There are no mirrors in the entire space by design… they want you to feel the pose, not see the pose, and not to feel any competition – just a lot of grace. Love that.
