A Bride’s Mafia Afterhours Bridal Show at Music Hall Nov. 19!

A Bride’s Mafia has its third annual Afterhours Bridal Show coming up at Music Hall November 19th from 6-9pm! Afterhours Bridal Show isn’t your typical (and boring) wedding expo event! They have lots of fun, interactive, and relaxed ways to find the wedding vendors who are perfect for you! Click here to read the story we did on my friend Nidhi who’s behind it all!  The last four Afterhours Shows have brought in more than 2,000 people in three hours, so they’re pretty amazing!

At the event, brides, grooms, and their families will be able to meet and greet with 75 of Cincinnati’s best wedding vendors. You can preview the latest wedding trends and find everything you need under one roof to make your special day perfect, from the moment you get engaged to the time you walk down the aisle! While you’re there, make sure you stop by the pampering room, in which brides and their guests receive complimentary hair and makeup applications!

The best part about Afterhours is that admission is FREE! (my favorite price! haha!) Cincy Chic will have a booth there, too! We’ll be giving away a salon gift certificate to one lucky lady who visits our booth, so definitely stop by and see us! Hope to see you there! It’s one show you will not want to miss! RSVP here!

A Cincinnati Debut

Lots of Cincinnati fashionistas getting press this week!

First is was Miss Ohio donning an Amy Kirchen custom dress on the Miss USA stage. Now it’s Cynthia Clark, a Cincinnati-based post natal nurse, who caught the style-savvy attention of Kate Spade.

She was featured in the Kate Spade blog this morning for her stunning aisle style. She wore a gorgeous long gown and several Kate Spade accessories to her ceremony.

But after the vows were exchanged, pictures were snapped, and the cake was cut, she slipped into something a little more comfortable – a Kate Spade debut dress.

Click here to read the entire blog about Cynthia’s  wowing (and trend-setting) wedding wardrobe.

What did I tell you about those nude pumps, ladies?? They’re even wedding worthy according to Kate Spade!

Big News for Blushing Brides

Are you a Bride-to-be or know of one? Make sure this is on your calendar:

The Afterhours Bridal Show at The Elements
May 19th, 8-11pm

They’re calling it “an unusual twist on your usual bridal show” … I like that because the last time I went to a bridal show it was lame-o.

But the gal organizing this event (Nidhi Bedi – an amaaaazing woman, and one of my good friends) is the complete opposite of lame-o, so I’m sure this show will be fabulous.

She said it’ll be an event where the brides get to meet and greet vendors at a bridal show but in a cocktail party setting. Sounds like a winner… especially when you can get in free! Print it this ticket for free admission to the show!

As if that wasn’t enough fun for you blushing brides-to-be… yes, it will be a great bridal show in a fun setting, but it will also be the official launch of A Bride’s Concierge (ABC*). Believe it or not, Nidhi is also heading up ABC (I want to know where she finds the time, seriously!)

She is the Director of Sales and Marketing at The Elements Conference and Event Centre, and she runs The Black and White Exchange Boutique (BWE), a consignment store we just featured in Cincy Chic. Nidhi told me that after she put on a successful bridal show last year which brought in over 1000 people in three hours, she was approached to launch ABC. Long story short, she loved the idea and ran with it! It will be a national company, but they came to her here locally to start with Cincinnati as the test market.

So, here’s the scoop on what ABC will be: It’ll be Cincinnati’s first online based educational resource for the bride. It’ll be where the wedding professionals in each category are there to educate and coach the bride. ABC will feature Cincinnati’s finest wedding vendors, real weddings, engagement stories, listings of what is happening in the city, educational seminars, bridal shows, and their big feature of “Ask The Concierge” which allows brides to come to us with questions that they have and they find the answers from the professionals that know best!

So, how can you take advantage of ABC? You can come to the Afterhours event and see the big reveal (they’re making the website live at the event). Or you can visit Nidhi in person! She decided to open up ABC’s “Concierge Lounge” in BWE where brides can go in, shop if they want, and then sit down with Nidhi to come up with a “big day” vision.

Nidhi said she’s super excited for brides to visit her at the Concierge Lounge for a free consultation to help develop a vision of what their dream wedding would be like. She’s very connected too, so I’m sure she’ll be a great resource for local ladies who need connections and advice to tie the knot in style.

If you need to get in touch with her, just send her an email at Nidhi@Abridesconcierge.com!

*FYI: A Bride’s Concierge will not be going by ABC. I was just lazy and didn’t feel like writing it out each time I mentioned it in this blog! : )
