Fabulous-Furs Warehouse

Last week, I attended an event at the Fabulous Furs Warehouse in Covington that benefited Impact100. And let me tell you ladies… if you haven’t been to the retail store, you must. And you DEFINITELY need to check out the warehouse. They had so many amazing deals (items are overstock, slightly imperfect, etc but they’re still fabulous!!!)… just as an example, I got two pairs of $5 shoes and a $9 sequined cardigan! Check out my new shoes below!

Flow – A New Menswear Boutique in Covington

Reason #1 I love social media: It connects you with people and places you wouldn’t have known about otherwise. Case in point, Jerod Theobald at Flow.

Jerod commented on something I said on Twitter a few weeks ago. His twitter name is “gentlemanflow” so I was intrigued. I went to his profile, and the website he had listed. Turns out, he just opened a new menswear boutique in Covington called “Flow – A Shop for Men.”

Being married to a fashMANista, with Valentine’s Day right around the corner, I had to check out the store in person and meet my new friend Jerod in real life! So, I just checked it out and Oh. My. Gosh. I am in love with this store.

It’s a hybrid store with some new things and some consignment. But the consignment stuff is in amazing, like-new condition and Jerod hand-selects every piece for the store to make sure it’s unique and high-quality.

He just has a great eye for fashion and design, so even if you’re not buying anything, I encourage you to stop in just to see how he decorated it and experience the great vibe it has. Speaking of vibe, music is a huge inspiration for the store (hence the name “flow”)… there’s even a sound booth in the store which doubles as a changing room.

It’s located at 621 Scott Boulevard in Covington, here’s their website – http://www.flowformen.com – and here are their hours:
Tue – Sat: 11:00 am – 7:00 pm
Sun: 12:00 pm – 6:00 pm
Check it out and happy Valentine’s Day!

A barber seat! Jerod says he wants to eventually have a barber come in to provide services for clients.

“Finishing Touches” Trunk Show

Some of my favorite ladies in the bridal biz are hosting a fun little trunk show this weekend at their studio (The Bridal Studio) in Covington.

I’ve done a couple blogs with Nancy from Brideface at the Studio. And whenever I go to see her, I always notice all the cute accessories in the shop. Great necklaces, pins and hair pieces. They also have funny cards and kitschy gifts.

Don’t let the name “The Bridal Studio” fool you. Not all their stuff is bridal. In fact, a lot of their cards, gifts and accessories can be used, worn or given for any occasion.

Sorry, got sidetracked… ah, yes, trunk show… they are having a trunk show this weekend. They’re calling it the “‘Finishing Touches’ Trunk Show.” It’ll take place this Sunday from 12-4pm at 610 Main St Covington KY. They invited all their favorite Bridal Studio accessory designers to show you what’s hot for spring and talk about the latest trends. The trunk show will feature T Beads, Oskar Simone and Pin Me Up Couture (wrote about Pin Me Up Couture in a previous blog here). Also, hairstylist Jen Nally will also be on hand for quick updo ideas with hair flowers and birdcage veils.

Again, you don’t have to be a bride-to-be to come to the show. I will be going to check out their jewelry and funky hair pieces. I just love how flower pins and feather headbands look in short hair!

I asked April from Bluebird Photography (another one of the Studio owners) to send some pics so you could see the shop and some of the items that will be featured at this weekend’s show! Enjoy!
