I hate to start the week off with bad news, but here it goes: KaVatee is going out of business.

These two local designers (Katie and Valerie) developed a great concept, produced some amazing merchandise, and got some impressive coverage… to include being on The Today Show, in many international blogs and even a featured vendor in Macy’s. But in order to continue business and take it to the next level, they’d need to take a financial risk neither designer was willing to make.

Valerie and Katie sent out a heartfelt email to all their clients and supporters thanking them, and also left the door open for future opportunities: “We very well could introduce a new brand or concept in the future,” the email said.

So, this isn’t completely a Debbie Downer blog post. There’s a silver lining in all of this. There will be a HUGE sale of all their remaining inventory! Go to Kavatee.com to take advantage of all the deep discounts. Remember, the holidays will be here before you know it!
