Kenwood Macy’s has a new French-inspired lined that’ll make you go “oh la la!!!” Plus, they’re hosting a tres chic kick-off event for it on August 24 from 1-4 p.m. The line features a curated collection with classic pieces! It’s called Maison Jules and has dresses, knit tops and pants…. and everything looks like they just walked out of a Parisian cafe.
The event will take place during Shop for a Cause, where any customer that purchases a savings pass for $5 will save 25% on regular, sale and clearance merchandise. You’ll even have the opportunity to register to win a French-inspired Martone bicycle with no purchase necessary!
Donations will benefit the March of Dimes as well as other local charities, so this is one great event to check out!
The third annual Cincinnati Fashion Week is just around the corner, so mark your calendars! This year’s event will kickoff on Friday Oct. 5 with “Fall into Fabulous,” an in-store gala at the Macy’s Kenwood Towne Center where I will be hosting a fall fashion presentation!
This opening celebration will be followed by a week of fun and intimate events such as Labyrinth at the Cincinnati Art Museum, an exclusive look though the museum’s archives of haute couture guided by author and curator Cynthia Amnéus.
The shows start on Oct. 11 with RetroFittings by Saint Vincent Du Paul, featuring pieces put together by over 50 fashion design students from the University of Cincinnati. Oct 12, an In The Closet preshow—including a progressive runway presentation showcasing vintage haute couture from the Evolution studio—will lead into the 2012 Catwalk Centre fashion show. Festivities will conclude Oct. 13 with the Catwalk Centre, where models will be walking collections from established local designers as well as emerging talents.

Thanks to my intern Eric Cepela for his help putting this blog post together!
A Macy’s exclusive collection from Impulse was released just last week! The line is part of an ongoing capsule series, and Nicole Richie is the current guest designer. The Macy’s in Kenwood is one of the three Ohio locations where these fresh pieces can be found, so I had to check it out! Keeping with what is in this fall, the collection is bursting with sheer, studs, and high-low hemlines. I loved it and found a Navajo print dress that perfectly compliments my House of Harlow necklace—also designed by Nicole!
