Holiday Shopping Event at LouLou’s Boutique

Cincinnati’s Westside has one women’s fashion boutique that I know of… as a native westsider myself, I was excited to see it open many years ago, and how it’s grown. They have an active Facebook page, where they post about new arrivals and upcoming events. They posted recently about a “Jump Start the Holidays at LouLou’s” event that they’re hosting, and it sounds like fun, so I thought I’d share!

It’s on November 4 from 10 am to 3 pm at their boutique (6145 Bridgetown Rd, Cincinnati, OH 45248). They’ll have 20% off the entire store (including their “Happy Everything” line which is pretty exclusive and only goes on sale like this two times a year. The owner Nancy said she’s getting in a TON of new clothes and accessories, so you’ll have a lot to choose from. Plus, you’ll be able to get holiday ornaments personalized for free at the event! So fun!

Attached is the event invite — hope to see you there!

LouLou’s Boutique Now Offers Home Trunk Shows!

LouLou’s Boutique (women’s clothing shop on the west side) is now doing home trunk shows! So I’m attending one tonight to check it out… and shop… and have wine… Tough day at the office, I tell ya! haha!

If you’re interested in hosting one, I hear you get LOTS of discounts and freebies — plus it’s a fun and fashion-focused way to get the girls together that’s not at a boring, loud bar. (Yes, I know that made me sound old)

Fall Style Trifecta at LouLou’s

Well, I told you about LouLou’s Boutique on the West Side rebranding a few weeks ago, and now, I’m officially obsessed.

The store now features a whole new, fresh and crisp look, with new fall styles to boot (no pun intended!). Nancy, the owner, is also welcoming in some new brands through trunk shows.

The one I’m SUPER excited about is the one they have coming up on October 12. Nancy is bringing in Chloe & Isabel jewelry, which I recently found out about and it’s GORGEOUS! Also,  Lur Apparel, which is locally based and eco-friendly! Click here to read the story we did on them earlier this year! Cincy Chic also did an “Eco Fab” fashion show with Lur Apparel last year — click here to check out the highlight video of that show!

Below is a flyer for the trunk show so you can mark your calendar (and make room in your closet!) Click here to “like” LouLou’s on Facebook and learn more about the trunk show!

Pet Fashion Show Feature of the Day: FENNOfashion

Today’s Pet Fashion Show Feature is FENNOfashion. Cincy Chic’s Pet Fashion show will take place on September 23 from 6-9pm at Performance Lexus. The event is free to attend and all the proceeds go to Recycled Doggies.

The event will feature a lot of great stuff for your favorite canine sidekick! But one of our fab vendors who will be there is FENNOfashion, and she specializes in poshing up pet owners (or any human for that matter! haha!).

FENNOfashion is a vintage inspired jewelry and handbag accessory company founded by the pocket-sized fashionista, Megan Fenno. She launched her company several years ago after graduating from Savannah College of Art with a BFA in fashion & accessory design. She eventually made it back to her hometown of Cincinnati where she brought with her FENNOfashion. Now, all of her pieces are designed and created right here in Cincinnati.

Besides, designing and selling accessories, Megan is now providing fashion tips for all of us here in the tri-state area! Megan has recently joined forces with three top radio stations: Q102, B105 and 94.1, as their Senior Fashion Editor. She also provides daily advice at www.Cincysavers.com.

FENNOfashion can be found at local boutiques (such as LouLou’s), online at www.FENNOfashion.com, and at events, like Cincy Chic’s upcoming Pet Fashion Show!

Attendees of the event will get to see FENNOfashion’s new fall collection, as well as FENNOfashion’s signature pieces. The night of the Pet Fashion show guests will be able to enjoy a 20% discount and an opportunity to chat with Megan, the owner of FENNOfashion, who will be taking custom orders, and offering up great fashion advice too!

Megan Fenno says, “I am really excited to be a part of this fabulous event once again. It was so much fun to see all the dogs dressed up and all the owners showing off their pups last year. It’s one of those events where you just leave feeling warm and fuzzy inside. Seriously, if you missed it last year, you HAVE to come this year!”

So, make sure you check out www.FENNOfashion.com to start picking out your favorite pieces. And make sure you like FENNOfashion on Facebook for exclusive sales, contests and sneak peeks of the newest products. Also, remember to get your tickets for the Cincy Chic Pet Fashion Show! The event is free and space is limited!

Loulou’s Summer Sale

Summer isn’t over yet, however, it’s that time of year for stores to clear out their summer apparel to make room for the latest fall trends. This week, (the only boutique I know of on the West Side) Loulou’s Boutique will be offering 40% off all summer merchandise!

Since it doesn’t look like it will be cooling down anytime soon and with a whole month of summer left, this is a perfect time to snag HUGE savings on some great summer pieces.

Nancy, the owner of Loulou’s (which used to be called “Uniforms for Moms” but she changed the name last year), told me that she still has a great selection of dresses, T’s and shorts, and they’ll be up to 40% off all week starting today. Customers will also get to preview a few pieces from fall lines that Loulou’s is starting to get in.

Loulou’s boutique located at 6145 Bridgetown Rd, on the west side. Check them out, and get some savvy savings on your summer threads this week!

LouLou’s Loves FENNOfashion

I don’t have any kids yet, so I consider Cincy Chic my baby right now. I gave birth to it four years ago on a couch in Philadelphia. Since then, I’ve been with it every step of the way, helping it learn to walk, make new friends and grow into a beautiful young publication.

Well, as a part of “making friends,” Cincy Chic and I have met an array of amazing local designers and some savvy boutique owners. Two of these people are Megan from FENNOfashion and Nancy from LouLou’s Boutique on Bridgetown Rd.

I just learned that Megan and Nancy connected at a recent Cincy Chic event and now LouLou’s is carrying FENNOfashion jewelry! It was a “proud mama” moment! It’s like my child introduced two people who are now dating! haha!

I’m really excited! I know this is a big step for Megan who has been primarily selling on her website and events. And it’s great for LouLou’s to be tapping into the local designer community who can introduce new shoppers to her store!

West Side Welcomes Fashion Boutique

uniforms for momsI grew up on the West Side so I can say this: The West Side is NOT the best side when it comes to fashion. (however, if you’re looking for a bank or a church on the West Side, you’ve hit the lottery! haha!)

Between Oakley, Hyde Park, Madeira and Montgomery, the East Side is bustling with boutiques galore. The West Side? Not so much. That is, until now.

An adorable fashion boutique opened up on Bridgetown Rd. on the West Side (in the heart of Bridgetown), but under the misleading name of “Uniforms for Moms.” They don’t carry uniforms or maternity clothes, which the name would lead you to believe. The owner luckily has good friends and clients who told her the name of her boutique was a really, really ridiculously bad decision. So, she’s in the process of changing it to “LouLou’s Boutique,” named after her late mother.

uniforms for moms loulous

I didn’t actually go to the Uniforms for Moms/soon-to-be LouLou’s Boutique store. She was at a shopping event I was at last week at the Western Hills Country Club.

She had some incredibly cute clothes and shoes at pretty affordable prices (i.e., I got an LBD for $30ish). It appears that the owner really focused on fashionable comfort. I loved her dresses, especially. Flattering and trendy silhouettes, but made out of really comfortable, wearable fabrics like cotton with lycra for a little give.

I fell in love with a comfortable cotton little black dress (see pic to the left). I also fell in love with a denim dress, but for some reason restrained myself and didn’t get it. I’ve been thinking about how great it looked, and how much I’d wear it, so I’ll probably make a visit to the store soon to snatch that up.

I took a few pics of the racks they had at the event to give you an idea of the kinds of clothes they have there. Definitely no mom jeans or uniforms here!
