The Best Looks From Cincy Chic’s Fall Into Fashion Event!

1375876_10151709385143931_1102178810_nOver at Cincy Chic we recently had our Fall Into Fashion event at Mercedes-Benz October 10. Attendees were able to get a first glimpse of the all-new 2014 CLA while sipping on refreshments and shopping local vendors. CRAVE provided light bites and there was an amazing fall fashion show.

Some of my favorite looks from the fashion show included the pops of red, mixture of browns and the colorful accessories! The red dress by Urban Chick Boutique was so cute and is the perfect piece for a holiday party! To see all of the looks from the show, click here!

Clothing for the event was provided by: Urban Chick Boutique and Jewelry by: Jewels by Jules. Cincy Style Bar did an amazing job with the hair and makeup for the models from MTM Cincinnati!

Urban Chick Boutique, Jewels by Jules and Cincy Style Bar were the fashion show sponsors. Booth sponsors included: Chateau Le Beau, The Scarf Diva, Origami Owl with Irene Maschinot, Miche Bags with Mindy Richards and Barb Germone, Stella and Dot with Courtney Shannon and Kim Powers, Cincinnati Facial Plastic Surgery, It Works Global with Shelly Kinder, Patty Hagood, Road + Fields Independent Consultant. Follow up – Local Model at NY Fashion Week

Kendal Elder, modeling at the Imitation of Christ presentation

Last week I told you about Kendal Elder, the model who’s representing the Queen City on the catwalks of New York Fashion Week. Well, this week, I have a fun little follow up about her.

When I blogged about her last week, she was confirmed for the Imitation of Christ presentation, but we didn’t know what else yet. She ended up completely stealing the IoC show! Check out her gorgeous lady in red look in this post and the truly entertaining video of the show below.

I did a little research, and apparently the IoC presentations are famous for their theatrics – click here for a little history on the label and shows.

But I digress… back to the big news! I found that that Kendal also got booked for the Feb. 15 B.Michael America presentation! And if you’re like me — sitting on your couch in your in not-so-fashionable PJs, pouting, and wishing you were at NY Fashion Week — turn that frown upside down because you can still watch Kendal in action! This show will be live streamed on the NYFW Facebook page! Click here to watch it: http://www.facebook.com/MBFashionWeek

Congrats, again Kendal!

Local Model Featured in New York Fashion Week

The photo that caught my eye - Kendal behind the scenes of Ann Yee's Autumn/Winter 2012 collection and hair by Marcos Diaz

New York Fashion Week is going on right now. While I didn’t get any invites (hint hint anyone?! haha!), I am getting a ton of emails from designers and beauty product companies with photos from their shows. Much to my surprise, as I opened one of those emails yesterday, I saw a familiar face!

A model, Kendal Elder, who has modeled in many Cincy Chic fashion shows – such as our recent Bras with Flair on the Square Fashion Show in Oct. – was featured in an email I got about Ann Yee’s Autumn/Winter 2012 collection and hair by Marcos Diaz. The first photo in the email was of Kendal and I couldn’t believe it! I immediately emailed my contact, Lori Colwell, at her modeling agency – MTM Cincinnati – and she confirmed it was Kendal!

“This is her first NYC Fashion Week,” says Colwell, “after over three years of hard work!”

Colwell said Kendal’s first show was Thursday night, the Gen Art New Garde Show. It was sponsored by Crest Whitestrips and they had the show streaming live on their facebook page. So, everyone at the agency and all of Kendal’s friends/family got to watch it! Click here to see it for yourself!

Kendal is still going to castings, Colwell says, and has other shows booked. “The only one I know is a presentation for Imitation of Christ,” Colwell adds.

Kendal is a Springboro High School graduate from Waynesville, Ohio, and she’s been featured in both Cincinnati Fashion Week finale fashion shows. And I’m so proud that she made it to THE fashion week this year! CONGRATS Kendal!!!

Styling a New Future – Today!

Some of my fav gals (Amy Kirchen, Lori Colwell and Cara d’Ambrosio – who I introduced last fall) are joining forces for an event tonight “Styling a New Future.”

Cara’s salon, Me Salon, and Lori with MTM Cincinnati (who provides all the models for our Cincy Chic events) are partnering for a great cause: to raise funds and awareness for the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network. At the event, you can enjoy an evening of cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, a silent auction and fashion show featuring models from MTM Agency, hair and makeup by Me Salon, and clothing by Amy Kirchen.

The ticket price is $50, but with all that’s included – and considering the great cause – it’s a small price to pay for a big night of fun! I *highly* recommend checking it out, my fashionista friends! It’s going to be a great event!
