Pet Fashion Show Feature of the Day: Pet Wants

From now until our Sept. 23 Pet Fashion Show, I’ll be doing a sneak peek of one vendor who will be at the event. The feature of the day today is Pet Wants, the only pet food nutrition store that offers local, Ohio made pet food in the Tri-State area. Pet Wants will be one of our vendors at the upcoming Cincy Chic Pet Fashion Show taking place on September 23 from 6 to 9pm at Performance Lexus, the event is free and all the donations will benefit Recycled Doggies, to get your tickets for the event or to make a donation please visit www.CincyChic.com/events.

Pet Wants is a locally women-owned business that began out of the need for quality pet food nutrition for Pet Want owners Amanda Broughton and Michele Hobbs’ dog with severe food and environmental allergies. Pet Wants prides themselves in the freshness of their dog food and that their products are gluten free and healthy for your pet.

Michele Hobbs’ says, “Pet food being gluten free is more important to animals than the industry gives credit. We do not use corn, wheat, soy or animal bi-products in any of our formulas.”

Another great part about Pet Wants being a local Cincinnati business is that it will save pet owners time and money. With their free delivery service, Pet Wants’ wants customers to be confident they are getting the very best dog and cat food without having to make that extra trip to the pet supply retailer. To set up a delivery to your work or home of Pet Wants’ products, pet owners can visit Pet Wants’ year round location at the Findlay Martket (Tuesday-Saturday 9-6 pm and Sunday’s 9-4 pm), by visiting their website at www.PetWants.com or calling them at 513-721-8696.

The night of the Pet Fashion Show, the Pet Wants’ table will have free samples of their most popular pet food formulas, along with plenty of their housemade beef jerky, which has been mentioned in ‘Donna Corvett’s Local Food Lover’s Guide’ as a staple to have in your pantry and maybe even to share with your dog! They will also have handmade hemp leashes and collars made locally in Loveland. Lastly, like I said if your dog has been good all night they can enjoy Pet Wants’ latest dog craving: housemade Pawsicles, “Frozen meal treats with purpose”!

By visiting their website, you can also find great products perfect for pet owners living in the city. One of Michele’s favorites is the urban backpack. She says, “It’s perfect to store your cell phone, keys, wallet etc. while taking a jog downtown”. They also have: Urban Walker leashes, cooling bandanas, hemp leashes and doggie sunglasses for those hot walks in the city. There will also be samples of these items the night of the Pet Fashion Show.

Make sure to stop by the Pet Wants’ table with your pet the night of the Cincy Chic Pet Fashion show for some treats to see accessories perfect for the “urban active” dog! Also, make sure to get your tickets for the best night out in Cincinnati with your pet, Cincy Chic’s Pet Fashion Show, at www.cincychic.com/events.
