Red, Pink and Blue + High Heels in High Places Recap!

Amy Kirchen never ceases to amaze me. As I mentioned before here on the blog, she had a 2-year anniversary party for the boutique in May called “High Heels in High Places.” Mint snakeskin brocade, nude florals and chic whites were in full bloom and were worn by the many admirers of Amy’s custom and prêt-à-porter creations.

Amy Kirchen is always bringing the latest trends to her boutique in Milford. I love it because it’s a mix of both vintage and modern… things you’d see Jackie O wearing, but could still be worn today. The best thing about her boutique is that it’s super affordable…. so, you can look like a million bucks without spending it!

Her collections and custom designs are housed in the back of her boutique. And while they’re not as affordable as the boutique items you’ll see in the front, you do get what you pay for. I saw that first-hand when she made my Dancing with the Stars dress. When I got asked to compete, my first call was to her so we could create a fab dress together. She came up with a breath-taking design, we tweaked and perfected it to hug every curve (but still keep everything in! haha!), and it turned out better than I could have ever imagined! The entire experience was amazing as I got to see the entire design process play out! So, if you have a wedding or special occasion coming up, click here to get her contact info and give her a call!

I also wanted to give a big thanks to Amy’s team for our recent 2013 Red, Pink, and Blue fashion show on the Purple People Bridge to benefit heart, breast and diabetes health. Amy created a Studio 54, 70’s glam-inspired runway show full of dynamic colors, high-waisted silhouettes, and splashes of sequins. Amy mixed boutique pieces with custom wear and together the 1970s were reborn on the People Purple Bridge! I will definitely be heading to Amy Kirchen Boutique to get some of those 70s-meets-today looks from the show!

Red, Pink and Blue

Fox19’s Frank Marzullo Goes Pink for Red, Pink and Blue!

Fox19‘s Frank Marzullo got all decked out this morning in a chic pink blazer to support our Red, Pink and Blue event this Saturday! I had been talking with him about possibly covering our event, but instead of doing our typical fashion show sneak peek, he had something else (super fun!) in mind. Because the station has an initiative to support breast cancer in unique ways on the 19th of each month, Frank had the idea to wear a pink blazer on the air to prompt conversation about our event!

Red, Pink and Blue supports three common women’s health issues – red (heart), pink (breast) and blue (diabetes) – so with Fox19’s monthly “pink” initiative, this worked out really well! I made a few phone calls and found a bright pink blazer in Frank’s size at the Clifton-based Pixel19 and it was a huge hit!

Thanks for your continued support, Frank!

Fabushoe Friday: Amy Kirchen Now Carries Shoes

Happy Fabushoe Friday, friends! Exciting news to share to celebrate this weekly holiday…. Amy Kirchen Boutique in Milford is now carrying some AH-MAZ-ING shoes.

She’s the fashion show sponsor for our June 23 Red, Pink and Blue fashion show (which you NEED to be at by the way – it’s my favorite event of the year!) so we’ve been chatting a ton. She took all these pics of the new kicks she just got in and I think a drooled a puddle on my computer.

I. Want. Every. Pair.

Check them out at her boutique located at 125 Main St. in Milford!

Sneak Peek of Red, Pink and Blue Fashion Show

We’re less than one week away from my favorite event of the year: Red Pink and Blue! On June 24, Cincy Chic will host this third-annual party and fashion show on the Purple People Bridge to benefit heart, breast and diabetes health. I’m so excited – our fashions show sponsor, Serket Jewelry, is giving this year’s RPB fashion show an Egyptian theme! She sent me these photos as a sneak peek of the show! They look so cool! Can’t wait to see all 20 looks she has prepared for the show!
