Small Business Saturday: Krombholz Jewelers

From now until Small Business Saturday on Nov. 24, I’m going to feature a local business with great gift ideas for everyone on your “nice list.” Today, I’m featuring Krombholz JewelersIt’s where I went to redesign my engagement ring and wedding band, and it’s also where we always host our Cincy Chic “Night in White” event every April.

They really specialize in custom jewelry designs, but they also have some amazing vintage pieces so you can give a one-of-a-kind gift. Also a great gift idea is the “Cincinnati Charms” that Lee Krombholz personally designed. You can wear them as a pendant or as a charm bracelet.

Krombholz Jewelers also has a big Holiday Sale coming up on Dec. 7 and 8, so mark your calendars to stop in and get in on the deals! Also, since they’re a Cincy Chic client, we have a promo going on where if you spend $50 with them you get a Cincy Chic totebag, mug and tumbler ($50 value) for free! So… you can get a gift for a loved one, and some free chic swag for you! 🙂

Small Business Saturday: Miller Gallery

Me and Tyler Shields

From now until Small Business Saturday on Nov. 24, I’m going to feature a local business with great gift ideas for everyone on your “nice list.” Today, I’m featuring the Miller GalleryThey’re located in Hyde Park Square (which will have free valet parking Saturdays Thanksgiving-Christmas 10a-6p by the way!). And, yes, I realize this is my third blog in a month about Miller Gallery and, yes, that means I’ve become slightly obsessed with them (especially after they gave me the opportunity to meet Tyler Shields, one of the amazing artists they’re currently featuring)… but I’m ok with that because I could be obsessed with worse things than cool art galleries.

I digress. So, with this series of Small Business Saturday posts I’ve been doing, I’ve mainly been giving gift ideas you can find at local businesses. But I understand if you aren’t able to shell out several grand for a Tyler Shields original to give grandma this Christmas. But there is something to be said about giving the gift of an experience. So, if you have an art lover on your list, make a date to take them to brunch (Teller’s has a KILLER bloody mary bar on the weekends!) and then over to check out the Tyler Shields pieces or Altered States exhibit featuring Rob Jefferson and Jonathan Queen. Then, after, maybe pop around to some of the other cool local businesses I’ve been writing about on Hyde Park Square this week!

We recently featured Kate here in Cincy Chic for rebranding (from Snap to Kate), all the new lines they’re carrying, and the more sophisticated client they’re reaching. But turns out, they’re a great go-to spot for gift items, too!

Here are a few things I found….

Fabushoe Friday, Small Business Saturday: Morrison and Me

From now until Small Business Saturday on Nov. 24, I’m going to feature a local business with great gift ideas for everyone on your “nice list.” Today, I’m featuring Morrison & Me.

I chose to feature them today because it’s Fabushoe Friday and it’s only natural that a shoe store gets the spotlight, right?:) They’re located in Hyde Park Square (which will have free valet parking Saturdays Thanksgiving-Christmas 10a-6p by the way!).

While Morrison & Me is a shoe store, giving shoes as a gift can be tricky. Good news is that they have a ton of non-shoe options in-store like handbags and jewelry. So save the shoe shopping for you, and snag some of these stylish accessories for the fashionista on your list. Here are some of the fun finds I saw when I visited…

The uniqueness of this cross body purse is one of a kind. Find your fashionista and they will go head over heels for this.
A cute clutch that deserves some attention. Detailing to die for.
Sweet simple and superb. This local jewelry is a great way to get them a one-of-a-kind gift they’ll love.
