Holiday Shopping Event at LouLou’s Boutique

Cincinnati’s Westside has one women’s fashion boutique that I know of… as a native westsider myself, I was excited to see it open many years ago, and how it’s grown. They have an active Facebook page, where they post about new arrivals and upcoming events. They posted recently about a “Jump Start the Holidays at LouLou’s” event that they’re hosting, and it sounds like fun, so I thought I’d share!

It’s on November 4 from 10 am to 3 pm at their boutique (6145 Bridgetown Rd, Cincinnati, OH 45248). They’ll have 20% off the entire store (including their “Happy Everything” line which is pretty exclusive and only goes on sale like this two times a year. The owner Nancy said she’s getting in a TON of new clothes and accessories, so you’ll have a lot to choose from. Plus, you’ll be able to get holiday ornaments personalized for free at the event! So fun!

Attached is the event invite — hope to see you there!

“Sip ‘n’ Shop” Event THIS SATURDAY!

While the East Side of Cincinnati is hoppin’ with women’s fashion boutiques, there’s only one – LouLou’s Boutique – on the West Side of town (that I know of). So, as a proud West Sider, I had to partner up with them for an event to show them (and an important local cause) some love! The event benefits Cancer Free Kids, as a portion of all sales goes to them. So, I hope you’ll be able to find some time to make it over on Saturday morning, enjoy some mimosas with us, and shop for a great cause! More details below!

Stylish Sundays at LouLou’s Boutique on the West Side!

My friend Nancy who owns LouLou’s Boutique on the West Side (just about the only women’s boutique on that side of the city!) just sent me an email announcing a new event series she’s doing to make Sundays a little more stylish. Starting on May 1, she’s going to host special promotions, sneak peeks of new arrivals, and giveaways each Sunday. Sounds like the perfect thing to get me out of my sweats a little sooner on a Sunday! haha! 🙂 Below are all the details….

LouLou’s Boutique Now Offers Home Trunk Shows!

LouLou’s Boutique (women’s clothing shop on the west side) is now doing home trunk shows! So I’m attending one tonight to check it out… and shop… and have wine… Tough day at the office, I tell ya! haha!

If you’re interested in hosting one, I hear you get LOTS of discounts and freebies — plus it’s a fun and fashion-focused way to get the girls together that’s not at a boring, loud bar. (Yes, I know that made me sound old)

Give Nancy the owner a call if you’re interested in learning more or booking one! nancy@shoploulous.com 513/574.0839

Fall Style Trifecta at LouLou’s

Well, I told you about LouLou’s Boutique on the West Side rebranding a few weeks ago, and now, I’m officially obsessed.

The store now features a whole new, fresh and crisp look, with new fall styles to boot (no pun intended!). Nancy, the owner, is also welcoming in some new brands through trunk shows.

The one I’m SUPER excited about is the one they have coming up on October 12. Nancy is bringing in Chloe & Isabel jewelry, which I recently found out about and it’s GORGEOUS! Also,  Lur Apparel, which is locally based and eco-friendly! Click here to read the story we did on them earlier this year! Cincy Chic also did an “Eco Fab” fashion show with Lur Apparel last year — click here to check out the highlight video of that show!

Below is a flyer for the trunk show so you can mark your calendar (and make room in your closet!) Click here to “like” LouLou’s on Facebook and learn more about the trunk show!

West Side Welcomes Fashion Boutique

uniforms for momsI grew up on the West Side so I can say this: The West Side is NOT the best side when it comes to fashion. (however, if you’re looking for a bank or a church on the West Side, you’ve hit the lottery! haha!)

Between Oakley, Hyde Park, Madeira and Montgomery, the East Side is bustling with boutiques galore. The West Side? Not so much. That is, until now.

An adorable fashion boutique opened up on Bridgetown Rd. on the West Side (in the heart of Bridgetown), but under the misleading name of “Uniforms for Moms.” They don’t carry uniforms or maternity clothes, which the name would lead you to believe. The owner luckily has good friends and clients who told her the name of her boutique was a really, really ridiculously bad decision. So, she’s in the process of changing it to “LouLou’s Boutique,” named after her late mother.

I didn’t actually go to the Uniforms for Moms/soon-to-be LouLou’s Boutique store. She was at a shopping event I was at last week at the Western Hills Country Club.

She had some incredibly cute clothes and shoes at pretty affordable prices (i.e., I got an LBD for $30ish). It appears that the owner really focused on fashionable comfort. I loved her dresses, especially. Flattering and trendy silhouettes, but made out of really comfortable, wearable fabrics like cotton with lycra for a little give.

I fell in love with a comfortable cotton little black dress (see pic to the left). I also fell in love with a denim dress, but for some reason restrained myself and didn’t get it. I’ve been thinking about how great it looked, and how much I’d wear it, so I’ll probably make a visit to the store soon to snatch that up.

I took a few pics of the racks they had at the event to give you an idea of the kinds of clothes they have there. Definitely no mom jeans or uniforms here!
